About Us!

The Full Story. . .

Hello!  As long-time residents of New Berlin for over 25 years, we are so excited to offer our talents to our home town community!   We have made New Berlin our home to raise our three daughters (and houseful of pets!) and we absolutely love this beautiful community!  In addition to loving her professional career as a special education teacher, Andrea has always wanted to pursue her other passion in creating memorable celebrations for others. With the abundance of encouragement and support from Randy and her family,  this dream of owning an event venue space has become a reality!

One of the things that was top priority of importance to us when establishing Firefly is that our clients would always be treated as family.  We wanted every person walking through our door to feel heard and valued.  We strive to work together with you to make your event stress-free and we are here for you every step of the way! We hope you feel comfortable in our space and that we've provided you a place that feels like home! 

Another priority for us is in offering an event space that is accessible for all abilities (no stairs, restroom accommodations, and plenty of parking right in front of our doors for guests).  We are more than happy to help make any further accommodations upon your request so that you and your guests are comfortable.

Our name does have meaning behind it:)  The inspiration for the name "Firefly Nook Gatherings" came from the fact that we both met in Wauwatosa when we were high school age, and Wauwatosa is believed to mean 'firefly' in the Ojibwe language.  The 'nook' reflects the cozy lounge sitting area for guests seeking a tranquil, sensory-friendly space with a home-like feeling. The venue has an overall vintage, boutique vibe with warm, twinkling lighting throughout... It is truly a welcoming place for all to enjoy for any celebration!
