The Full Story. . .
As long-time residents of New Berlin for over 25 years, we are so excited to offer our talents to our home town community! We have made New Berlin our home to raise our three daughters and absolutely love this beautiful community that we call home! In addition to loving her professional career as a special education teacher, Andrea has always wanted to pursue her other passion which is in creating memorable celebrations for her loved ones. We decided that we would love nothing more than to make our dream of owning our own event venue space a reality!
We value time spent with family and friends, and opening our own event venue space where people can come together to create lasting memories is truly a dream come true for us. There is something incredibly special about gathering around the table with the people we love. We pride ourselves in making our space a comfortable, cozy place to gather - a place that feels like home. We are proud to offer a fully accessible event space for all abilities (no stairs, restroom accommodations, and plenty of parking right in front of our doors for guests).

The inspiration for the name "Firefly Nook Gatherings" came from the fact that we both met in Wauwatosa when we were high school age, and Wauwatosa is believed to mean 'firefly' in the Ojibwe language. The 'nook' reflects the cozy lounge sitting area for guests seeking a tranquil, sensory-friendly space with a home-like feeling. The venue has an overall nature-inspired vibe with warm lighting throughout. It is truly a welcoming place for all to enjoy for any celebration!
